Kinsealy Pumping Station Upgrade Works

Upgrading Kinsealy Pumping Station with new sewer installations, emergency overflow systems, and community-focused project management.

We were commissioned by BSG Civil Engineering Ltd to construct approximately 380m of new gravity sewer, 80m of emergency overflow pipework and 1788m of new rising main on the public road and private lands.

We were responsible for the design and planning of the works and we used experienced engineers and designers to create a comprehensive and efficient design that met all regulatory requirements, environmental considering and the needs of the community.  We obtained all necessary permits and approvals from relevant statutory bodies and adhered to all required codes, standards, and regulations. Our works were delivered by experienced staff who implemented proper construction techniques to ensure accurate pipe alignment, joint integrity and compaction of backfill materials. We designed the emergency overflows to handle any excess flows and ensured that overflow outlets were properly design and located.

This project required the development of a comprehensive traffic management plan to minimise disruptions to road users and to ensure the safety of the public, staff, and access for the emergency services. We were required to obtain necessary access rights, easements, and permissions from private landowners.  We delivered the works in line with quality control and inspections processes and conducted regular inspections of installations and connections. We also ensured all environmental considerations were factored into our works and ensured community engagement to communicate with local residents to keep them informed of project progress, potential disruptions and to address any concerns or feedback.
